Deadline for Filing for Candidacy:
The deadline to file an application for a place on the May 2, 2026 General Election Ballot is Friday, February 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
- The first day that such application may be filed is Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
- The last day to file a Declaration of Write-In Candidacy is Tuesday, February 17, 2026 by 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications for Office
To be eligible to be a candidate for the position of Director, a person must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Be a resident citizen of the State of Texas; and
- Either own land subject to taxation in the District or be a qualified voter within the District.
